Dr. Boersma is an integrative health and wellness counselor, who focuses on restoring healthy connections between food, behavior, and meaningful lives. Combining her doctorate in mental health counseling with a certification in integrative nutrition and master's degree in exercise physiology, she is uniquely able to address complex relationships with food from a variety of perspectives. For more than a decade, she has treated youth, adults and families diagnosed with eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, obesity, and complex weight loss concerns. She addresses the physical, emotional and psychological implications food relationships have on each person and within the context of their families and communities.
